Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American screen and stage actress best known for her film roles as a character in Ray Undercover Brother and on the television series The Mentalist. She graduated with an B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School of Acting at New York University. Aunjanue is l. Ellis, is an American actor and producer who has been in the theater and television as well, is actively involved across both sides of the screen. Her career began as an actor in theater but then proceeded to make appearances in numerous TV shows, as well as independent and mainstream films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for which she not only received high praise but also received a host of nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. Her career began as an actor in the year 1995 when she played Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. The actress has appeared in Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In her film career, she is renowned for her performances in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. On television, her part on ABC's drama about police High Incident is well known.
